Pearl hardware is typically made to be very sturdy. The B1000 is no exception. The large rubber feet make it very stable, and the cymbal stand is double braced so it will be able to support a lot of weight. This stand is the smoothest boom stand I have ever used. The knobs are easy to adjust, and when you overtighten one, you can use a stick to loosen it back up. Adjusting the height and angle of the stand is really smooth. The shafts never get stuck or sticky, everything functions as it really should. The UniLock tilter is really nice for getting just the right angle, and it's built pretty solid so you don't have to worry about it slipping or breaking if you have to pack other hardware on top of or with your cymbal stand. The WingLoc is a great idea, but not my favorite application of ingenuity. It's pretty convenient to snap open and close the WingLoc, but since the cymbal sleeve is attached to the WingLoc, you've got to put a little extra effort in when you put the cymbal on the stand. Either thread the sleeve through the cymbal first, or put the cymbal on and wiggle the WingLoc sleeve through. This being the case, a regular wing nut takes me just as long to use. Also, the WingLoc is about 10 bucks to replace, while cymbal sleeves and wingnuts would probably be a lot cheaper to stock up on. Overall, a great cymbal stand. It works as it should, no problems, and it isn't overly expensive, especially when compared to other comparable stands.

Very simple to use and very effective, even with large cymbals. The non-gear tilter and non-rattle tubes are features that will make for the long life of the stand. Also, because of the double braced legs, it's very stable (a little heavy to carry for my taste -I usually carry my own stuff- but not heavier than any other brand's double braced boom stand). The only thing that I don't like too much it's the plastic wing-nut: it works fine once you learn how to use it, but it gives the feeling that it won't last years of use. I replaced with the traditional metal one, anyway a very minor detail. Great stand! And it looks elegant for my taste, like most of Pearl's hardware.

Yep, just picked up one of these Pearl B1000 boom cymbal stands. These things are built like a tank. Fantastic cymbal stands. I'm finding it mighty hard to come up with anything bad to say about both Pearl's 1000 and 2000 series hardware. Best I've used so far. This stuff is top-shelf.

I just got a Pearl B1000 cymbal stand and I'm very happy because its a very useful cymbal stand and its very strong, you can set any cymbal you want on it. I live in Mexico and its hard to find stuff like this and I found the B1000 better than any other stand this price. It is a good purchase and it works awesome in all kind of events. If you're looking for an awesome and cheap stand buy the Pearl B1000 cymbal stand.
