Nice Pedal

By Ethan-60DYC

from Charlotte, NC USA

Comments about PDP SP400 Single Pedal:

This pedal is a great deal. A very good quality pedal for really cheap. It's smooth, durable, and has some nice features, such as the offset bass drum clamp thing. It's really a lot nice than the kind where you put your hand under it. There are also spikes under it, I'm guessing it helps the pedal not slip? I'm not sure why they are there, but you can adjust them too. I have had no problems with adjusting the spring tension either. It's a great pedal that can compare with some of the higher end ones, and I can't believe they consider it "entry level". Go for it, it's a great pedal. Good luck to all of you fellow drummers!

Great Pedal!

By Greasy!

from Cincinnati, OH

Comments about PDP SP400 Single Pedal:

I recently purchased this pedal, and it is excellent! A couple of things stand out: 1. The clamp that attaches to the bass drum hoop is very easy to use. It is an "offset" clamp that is drum key operated. It is "offset" by being on the right side of the pedal plate near the spring. It is much easier to clamp down in this fashion, rather than having to try to get your entire hand under the pedal to tighten down the clamp. Using a drum key operated bolt makes this even easier to use. 2. The spring tension adjustment is easy to use and has a very wide range of adjustments. I've found that on most lower priced pedals, the adjustment range is not very wide, and usually the loosest it got was still too tight for my taste. No such problem here, and this is smooth and quick at any tension! I highly recommend this pedal to anyone. I plan on buying two more!

GREAT PEDAL

By Kyle-2qV5g

from Indiana

Comments about PDP SP400 Single Pedal:

I had high expectations for this pedal when I first bought it because of the name it carried. I have had other Pacific DW hardware, and was highly impressed. This pedal did not disappoint!! It is fairly quick, very durable and comfortable to play. The one drawback (which isn't a huge deal) is that you can't adjust spring tension, or the plate angle. (If you can, I can't figure it out) I still highly recommend this pedal anyway.

A very durable, yet affordable line of products

By Rich-n_4-m

from Pocnos, PA

Comments about PDP SP400 Single Pedal:

I've had the DW Pacific double pedal for over a year now, and it is still running strong (I just bought the single to accommodate my 2 bass drum setup) I must say, for the price, pacific puts out products with quality just under that of regular DW's. One thing that I really noticed about the pedals was the durability. I've only been playing for 2 years, and I really beat my stuff playing the type of music I do. (hardcore, black metal), and this pedal is still running stronger than ever. I would definitely consider buying products from pacific.

Quick & durable!!

By Michael the Mod

from Raleigh NC USA

Comments about PDP SP400 Single Pedal:

Just got this in w/ the Pacific brand hi-hat (see review of that as well). I cannot believe that this is from a "student line" of hardware. It is quick, easy to adjust and durable (just look at the backplate). I would HIGHLY recommend this product. An excellent buy for the money!
