Comments about Paiste PST 5 Thin Crash:
The best cymbal in it's price range. It has a very nice voice. I've been playing Paiste Cymbals for 25 yrs or so (505, 1000, 3000, RUDE, Sound Formula, 2002 to PST 5) and I still use all of them.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Great cymbal
Comments about Paiste PST 5 Thin Crash:
The 18" thin crash really gives new meaning to the term "bang for your buck." This thing sounds great. Matches the musicality and playability of many higher-end cast cymbals. For being a sheet cymbal, this thing sounds amazing. Plus, you can't beat the slick look of the PST-5s. These things are classy and affordable. Very clean sound, good wash, medium/short sustain. This cymbal really packs a punch.

Great cymbal
Comments about Paiste PST 5 Thin Crash:
Very musical not harsh or washy, very controlled spead, beautiful tone, exactly what I like. I have three pst5 cymbals and love them. These aren't much of a compromise in terms of quality sound even though they are affordable.

Thanks Paiste!
Comments about Paiste PST 5 Thin Crash:
Bravo Paiste for making a cymbal that the drummer on a budget can afford and it still actually sounds decent. The 16" has a great crash with medium decay and a hint of shimmery fade. It can be played soft or loud so is good for a range of styles. Of the 9 inexpensive cymbals I own this one is my favorite and has been since the day I got it. I've owned it for over 4 months with everyday use and it's holding up great, so far no cracks dents or keyholing. If you want to get close to a professional sound with an inexpensive cymbal the Paiste pst5 series is the place to look. The 14" is next on my list. Thanks Paiste and Music123!
