Paiste

A versatile crash that works well at louder styles and volumes.

The Paiste 2002 Medium Crash Cymbal is a bit heavier than the standard 2002 Crash, while remaining very balanced with a full and rich tone. Nice ride sound in larger venues.

Made with CuSn8 bronze for a bright, warm, and energetic tone. Great for live and studio gigs requiring high energy and the utmost in precision and musicality. Heavier models have been added to round out the original classic series by providing increased volume.

Swallow the room with quick, explosive sound. Order now.

Fantastic cymbal

By Scott-VXFh9

from Cleburne, TX

Comments about Paiste 2002 Medium Crash Cymbal:

I've been playing the drums for the better part of two decades now and consider myself quite the cymbal-phile. I have owned nearly every B20 cymbal there is, and only recently turned from the darkside...With Paiste. I recieved the 2002 18'' medium and was delighted with the sound characteristics from a B8....Rich, Full, Sparkling....those are just some of the words I can use to describe this cymbal. I liked so much, I bought another to drill for rivets, just like Densmore played with The Doors.... This cymbal is an excellent choice for a classic rock crash and a ride (with or without rivets). Because of this cymbal, I have since replaced all my pies with Paistes. The cost of these cymbals is certainly on par with Sabian/Zildjian lines of rock intended cymbals...but I will never buy another "Darkside" piece of bronze again. Thank you Paiste for thes outstanding instruments, and thank you MUSIC123 for the sales and service that is matched by no one else in the music retail industry....

Made to Last

Comments about Paiste 2002 Medium Crash Cymbal:

The pitch of the mediums are slightly lower than the power crashes, but that isn't necessarily bad. I prefer them for versatility in musical genres and because they sound great years after you bought them. They are like having old friends who never ever let you down!

Oh yes

Comments about Paiste 2002 Medium Crash Cymbal:

I just received my 20" one of these, and just before I rant on how great it is, I'd like to thank Music123 for the excellent work they do. Shipped out to New Zealand I was expecting dings and bends but no, pristine. Thank you Music123, I'll definitely be back. Back to the cymbal. Loud, musical and shimmering, somewhere between washy and glassy, can't really tell just yet, and opens up nicely, not too fast not too slow. The decay may be a bit long for some tastes, longer than any Z Custom I've ever heard but I like a bit of sustain, makes quieter songs more full and gets lost in the background when playing the louder stuff. I love 2002's.

2002's are great cymbals

By mark p

Comments about Paiste 2002 Medium Crash Cymbal:

I use them exclusively , they cut and are also very musical at the same time. John Bonham , Ian Paice and many other greats used them because they kick ass. You wont be disappointed.

Cuts through amps like it was nothing!!

Comments about Paiste 2002 Medium Crash Cymbal:

This cymbal is ideal for drummers who like to be heard. It cuts right through loud amps with ease. I own several cymbals from the 2002 line, and if you're a hard rocker, this is the way to go.
