Versatile and effective for multiple music applications.

Bright and full with a warm shimmer that carries well. Very dynamic and full-bodied, with immediate response. Washy stick sound with lively intensity and medium sustain. A good all-purpose crash.

Made with CuSn8 bronze for a bright, warm, and energetic tone. Great for live and studio gigs requiring high energy and the utmost in precision and musicality. Heavier models have been added to round out the original classic series by providing increased volume.

There is no substitute

Comments about Paiste 2002 Crash Cymbal:

After 25 plus years of drumming with these cymbals I have to state Paiste 2002 cymbals are THE standard, The cream of the crop, no other cymbal comes close to their versatile range, sound, looks and quality. They can smash thru a mix brilliantly or add the most diplomatic softest shimmers ever! I will use no other crash cymbals. What's amazing is I own 3 for many years now and with basic Paiste cleaner care they still look like new!! And with minimal effort! You get what you pay for, and although Paiste 2002s are top of the line, as good as it gets, they've always been worth the price.

A versatile and wonderful cymbal for all occasions

Comments about Paiste 2002 Crash Cymbal:

I picked up the 18" 2002 Crash and I was very impressed. It's versatile, and very musical. You can milk a dozen or more different voices out of this cymbal with just little changes in technique/approach and they're all beautiful. I've had this cymbal for about 2 years now and it has become the mainstay of my frequently changing cymbal setup. LOVE IT!

A very classy sounding cymbal. No matter what brand you use give the 2002's a listen. A bit expensive , but a great sound!

Great cymbal

Comments about Paiste 2002 Crash Cymbal:

I use 3 crash cymbals, right left center. Left is Sabian vault right is meinl byzance center is Paiste 2002 crash. All 16 inch. (hard to miss when you use 3) Best sounding to me of the three is the Paiste, clean, shimmering. Next is the Menil Byzance, last is the Sabian vault, which by the way is the lowest sounding of the 3. All 3 are good or I wouldn't have them, but the Paiste 2002 is just so clean and bright its my favorite.

An Amazing Sound

Comments about Paiste 2002 Crash Cymbal:

I am currently playing a 17" 2002 crash and a 20" 2002 ride and I'm in love with both of them. The 17"is perfect for crash-riding in more punk and hard rock songs while it can be used lightly for jazz and blues. The 20" ride is a perfect all-around ride cymbal. I use it for EVERYTHING I PLAY. I would definitely suggest them to anyone looking for that classic crash or ride sound.

The best rock crashes period

By HelixBoy2002

Comments about Paiste 2002 Crash Cymbal:

I've tried Signatures, Dimensions, and even other brands, but nothing quite sounds like 2002 crashes. The best rock cymbals ever. They're brighter and higher-pitched than most other cymbals.

A TRUE CLASSIC

Comments about Paiste 2002 Crash Cymbal:

I own a 20" this is a great cymbal, simple, solid and a great range of tones. In the UK Paiste cymbals are much more expensive it costs the equivalent of $414 for a brand new 20" over this side of the pond, but they are still worth every penny. This cymbal is so loud and solid even John Bonham and Keith Moon owned 1 makeing it an all time great.

I like

Comments about Paiste 2002 Crash Cymbal:

I bought a 19" classic crash second hand about 4 years ago, it's got the black labels on it so it must've been some 20 years old at the time, unless it's a special order but for it's good condition it still looked a bit aged. It seems a little thin looking at it lately but I play loud, very loud, Bonham loud even, and it still hasn't broken, and it sounds fabulous. It can be overplayed though which may be why it hasn't broken, you've got be glancing it, make it shimmer, as you should for every cymbal really. I'm not sure how it compares to the medium crash but I'm getting one of those right now so check that review list shortly if you care for it. But as of now, you can't go wrong with any of these crashes I'm sure, in sound or durability.

The Paiste 2002 18" crash

By The Mad Drummer

from Appleton, WI

Comments about Paiste 2002 Crash Cymbal:

This is a wonderful crash that is warm sounding but has little trouble cutting through any volume of music. It has the classic sound of early rock music made famous by John Bonham. A very rich sound that is beautiful to hear. This 18" cymbal is tough and will take a powerful strike and turn it into a "crash" you will fall in love with.
