Deep bass tones and crisp highs.

The Meinl Snare Cajon has a full set of snare wires that touch the frontplate from the inside creating a rattle or sizzle effect. A knurled knob adjusts the amount of pressure used to press the snare wires against the frontplate so the effect can range between light and sensitive to very loud. The snare can also be turned off completely. The frontplate's top corners are adjustable with screws, which lets you control the crash or "slap" effect. Loosen them for a strong effect or close them down for a milder response. Choose carbon finish or white ebony frontplate.

Features
  • Adjustable top corners
  • Internal, adjustable snare wires
  • Padded sitting surface

A great classic sounding cajon for an easy price. Order today.

Comments about Meinl Snare Cajon:

This is a really great cajon, wonderful and very unique sound, the carbon fiberglass is not the most used material for cajons but in this case it was used well because it gave a good responsiveness and the snare has not too much overtones (like how most snares are, this cajon had a controlled snare sound). The sound is great, the adjustable snare is amazing and i can switch from a Peruvian cajon (no snares, more tone) or to a normal flamenco (all snares, less tone), only thing I do not like is the snare is slightly flat, I wish that it was a little more pronounced and beefier, but besides that, the versatility is amazing and makes up for it all the way. It feels great to use it for hours because of the carbon fiberglass/composite wood. Shipping was great too, surprisingly fast
