I bought this drum kit from Music123 for my son, then 4 years old. I'm a former pro drummer and I have been really impressed by the build quality of the drums. I read a review elsewhere where a parent called the drums difficult to assemble -- and that is entirely inaccurate. The drums are really just a smaller version of a regular kit and use standard drum screws and drum keys to tighten the heads. The stands, pedal, cymbals and drum heads are not very impressive, and I am eager to put some better drum heads on the kit and looking to see if I can find some inexpensive cymbals that would be a step up. That said, even though I didn't give this 5 stars, I am very happy with the kit and would recommend it to anyone with a small child.
