I purchased the LP Performer Series Wood Bongos, Sun Burst Wood, Chrome HDW; They're beautiful! I am very satisfied with this product. I have been a drummer/percussionist for 24+ yrs. and enjoy these drums. I would recommend tuning-down (Loosening) for storing. I took the heads off before I played them, and applied a little almond oil to my hands and rubbed it into the heads (Both sides.. every inch.) They're great now.. I enjoy my bongos!

I've played music for the last 25 yrs or so, mainly guitar, bass, keys and sax. I bought these to get more into percussion, and I couldn't be happier with them. The pictures do them no justice. I have the black ones with the wood strip, and they're just beautiful. Great tone, great progression, I can't put them down. Now I just want to record bongo track on all my old recordings, and come up with new rhythms. Most of my "music" time has been spent playing guitar which I love, but these bongos are giving me something new and very cool to work on. This brand is great, and many of my bongo-playing friends want to get these LP's now. Don't hesitate, get them. They're awesome and will last forever.
