I am quite happy with this High Pitch LP Jam Block (blue). It is quite a nice sound. I bought it in conjunction with the LP Jam BLock with Bracket Medium Pitch (red). Together with the red block, the sound combinations are out of this world. Music123 gave me a great deal on these pair because a similar, yet inferior product advertised on their website is no longer available (discontinued). If I were to only buy one block, I would recommend the medium pitch (red) block over the high pitch (blue) block. But if you're lucky to get both, like I did, at a great price, what a steal to get great sounds for my drum set.

The Red Jam Block has a nice woody tone to it and obviously has more durability than a wood block. The tone is accurate to that of a wood block also. The sound is a bit louder than that of a rim shot and adds a nice accent very similar to 60's, 70,s and 80's pop/rock cover songs that I like to perform. I have it stacked on top of my LP Tambourine Mount which helps to conserve space. I,m glad I made this purchase.

This block is great. It has a surprising loud, but good, sound that you wouldnt expect out of a hard plastic . It sounds great and I think it would take a lot to wear this thing out. It's very durable. 5 stars

What can I say, I have always used a rim shot but this takes the cake the sound is perfect every time. I just love technology.

We use these as time keepers in marching band. They work so well the band complains about having nightmares about the Jam Block. I love this Block!
