The Kelly SHU Composite series also gives you your choice of our exclusive internal and external installation options, both within the same product. All the installation components that ship with the Composite series mounts are the same as is included with the Kelly SHU Pro Systems. The System requires NO DRILLING for installation.

This is by far the best kick drum mic solution I have seen to date. I had the MAY internal mount but the metal arm would move every time you transported the drum from the weight of the mic no matter how much you tightened it down. The SHU totally resolves that problem because there's nothing to work loose and it is MUCH cheaper than the MAY system! It takes less than a half hour to install one of these. No more hauling around weighted boom stands that band members are always running into and knocking around. You simply remove a single screw from 4 - 6 lugs, screw them back in with the leather hoops, cut each of the rubber cords to the desired length, slide on the hooks (ingenious keeper on the hooks by the way), and hook one end of the cord to the leather hoop and the other to the SHU and it's in there. You've got a built-in shock mount that stays put. You simply thread your mic onto the 5/8" threaded post in the middle. Plug in your XLR cable and wellah, no more fiddling around with it or worries! Consistent sound and no setup time. If you're gigging or recording drummer and you don't have one - trust me, this will be the best $50 you ever spend!
