A very cool effect for showmanship, but I wouldn't want to use them on a regular basis. They feel very rubbery, and have a LOT of flex to them, they're also pretty large - I don't have concerns about them breaking, at least, but a good drum roll or anything else requiring quick finesse with take some re-learning with these sticks. Also, most battery operated devices ship with a battery saver of some form - these ship live - by the time UPS got through with them, the batteries were already pretty much dead.
