I recently bought these to replace my old Remo Emperors. When I put these on I was immediately impressed. They really add some low end punch to your toms. Another thing I noticed is the coating is very good too. When I had the Remo's, I could see flakes of coating come off even when I was just tuning them for the first time. When I was tuning the G2's, I couldn't even tell where I had been tapping them. They sound best when they're on larger toms, so if you use smaller toms you might want to try Evan's newer drumheads, the G Plus, which would probably give you the benefits of a 2 ply head without choking smaller toms.

These heads are great. They made my kit sound so much better than the factory pearl heads. The only thing is they're really warm in tone. If you want bright heads, go for the g2 clears.
