I had an old RealFeel and the rubber is breaking down, and the particle board is falling apart. That's ok though, because I abused it through 5 years of DCI and 2 years of senior corps. I've used it for 19 years total!! That is a great pad to hold up that long. This new one feels much better and the quality has been stepped up a notch from the older versions. This pad is a MUST for every percussionist!! Seriously.

This pad is a must for all drummers who need to practice rudiments and snare drum! It has the most bounce out of 6 pads I have played by brands including : Xymox, Yamaha, Pro-Mark, Vic Firth, Remo, and HQ. HQ is the best pad because it's somewhat quiet on the gray rubber side, it stays on the ground when you hit it, and it has the most bounce. Buy it now the price is worth it and this is the best pad around!
