The last stand you'll ever need.

Comments about DW 9300 Heavy Duty Snare Drum Stand:

A good, quality snare drum stand is very, if not one of the most important aspects of all of the hardware in your setup. The snare drum is the center of your kit, and one of the most important sounds on your kit. It's important to have a stand that makes your snare drum sit at it's best. The DW 9300 Snare Drum Stand will make that happen, no matter your preference. I use a very deep (14"x8") snare drum, and I have to get my stand pretty low in order for my drum to sit at it's most comfortable position. That is never an issue with the DW 9300 stand, but it has been with my previous ones. Because of it's gearless tech-lock tilter, I can further the possibilities of the positioning to an infinite amount. I like to have a very slight tilt (away from me) on my snare drum. The previous stands I've used (Pearl S-800W for example) had always frustrated me because I never got the angle exactly where I wanted. With the DW's gearless tilter, I can have it at any angle I would ever want. The boom arm on this stand just makes positioning your stand even better. If you like your pedals nice and close together (like me), you can easily reach the boom arm over and position your snare wherever you want. That's another issue I've had with other stands. I've heard numerous stories of how drummers' stands started to wobble midway through a song and sometimes tip over. The DW 9300 is built like a tank, and will never, ever move on you. Again, that is very important for your snare, and you can rest assured that your snare is in good hands (or basket). The extra large tripod base of this stand just adds to the stability of your gear. A very good feature! Your snare isn't going anywhere! The beauty of this stand is the number of features it holds, from smaller factors like strong memory-locks, to larger factors like infinite adjustability. Please believe me, you will NOT be disappointed with this stand, and it will last a lifetime.

Comments about DW 9300 Heavy Duty Snare Drum Stand:

9000 series durability:Captive wingscrews and insulated tube receivers on all 9000 hardware assure a lifetime of trouble-free operation while players will appreciate such drummer-designed innovations as position reset handles, toothless tilters, threaded cymbal space adjustment, premium grade felt washers and the versatility of convertible castings on the stands and accessories. From mainstream to extreme, the 9000 Series by Drum Workshop is the most versatile and durable hardware system around - truly tough enough for anything today's progressive drum and percussion players can throw at it.This is an amazing snare drum stand, you can tighten the 3 holders for the snare so it keeps the snare locked in the stand. It also weighs in at 15 pounds, which is heavy, but good, so the snare does not move around. It also has a dual lock for the height of the snare and it goes high enough to suit your "stand up" needs. (I originally bought this stand for stand up because no other stand could go high enough) Now I play the kit and it works perfectly for my needs as a hard rock drummer. This snare is also double braced and is extremely strong.

Best I've seen

Comments about DW 9300 Heavy Duty Snare Drum Stand:

I now have 4 snare stands. The DW stand I got today is the latest in the hunt to find one that has a wide enough foot print to hold my vintage 1964 Rogers snare. (Its heavy!) I also have the Iron Cobra double bass pedal and the Iron Cobra hi-hats and the Iron Cobra clutch. This stand will fit between all of the objects between my feet and still be able to position the snare to my liking. I couldn't do that with my other 3. The basket being offset and adjustable is the reason. Its just great. Very heavy though if you like to travel lite, don't buy it. Weighs in at 15 pounds. With no clothes on.
