This hi hat stand is one of the best out there, very similar to others in this price range.The key feature in this stand that I like is that you can adjust the internal spring / pedal tension by turning a dial rather than a stepped adjustment, totally unlimeted. The peddal board however is a bit clumsy to fold having to loosen four key screws and chance loosing them if you forget to tighten them. I was using an Iron Cobra lever glide prior to this, the I.C. was easier to tear down and set up but in my opinion the DW has a more liquid and smoother feel.

The stand is great I purchased it because I need a good stand with a small foot print. The DW stand has a smaller foot print and the 2 treaded arms are a nice touch. The pedal folds making it easier to fit in my stand case. This stand is outstanding.

This hi hat stand is like no other it is so heavy and sturdy it is an awesome buy for beginners or pro's. It glides so nicely and also has good balance even with two legs. Overall, if you want a sweet hi-hat for not too much then this is your hi hat stand.
