I've been using Attack heads on my Ludwig's for a few years now and I can tell that they sound great.
Don't let the price fool you! I know how drummers are, they find a recipe that works and they don't ever want to mess with it. Who wants to fudge around with tuning a drum head that they can't get to sound right and then have to order the old brand and wait again? But, don't worry! Attacks will sound better (more cutting and more projection) than the other brand (you know, the king's crown) you were using and you can save a couple of bucks to boot.
I don't think twice about now. Attacks have never let me down. My Ludwig snare and Attacks are a winning combination.
Great sound. Great value.

I have be using these Attack heads for two years now and think that they are as, if not better than other drum heads. Why pay more for the ink from the stamp that hame the big name. Really! Next time you change out your heads just give them a try. I do not work for Attack but, I wish I did I could sure use a job.

When I first tried Attack heads I could tell the difference while just tuning them up! Sure, they're state of the art in design, material, collar, sound, etc, - but what I found most amazing is the range they can be tuned and still cut thru the mix diplomatically - low or tight they still sound great! Tuned properly, I rarely need muffling except if the playing situation calls for it. Note - I don't care for pre-muffled heads - I like having complete control over my sound. For a single ply these heads are tough (the novice and metal heads may want a thicker ply. I'm sticking with Attack Heads.

I just installed a set of Attack two-ply coated heads and I'm thrilled with them. They tune up nice, maintain their coating, and take a serious beating without dents or the like. VERY good heads and a steal at the price. These heads last and sound terrific.
