What can you say, it's aquarian!!

Comments about Aquarian Texture Coated Response 2 Drumhead:

Since the first time I've put Aquarian's Response 2 on my drums, It's been love. I love the roundness and the depth of the tone. It feels like any drum sounds better with them on. It really brings out the true specific caracter of the shells.

I always try the new stuff Remo and Evens come up with, but they always lack of something in comparaison to Aquarian's products. Personally, the most attractive quality of R2's, beside my love for their sound (which I admit, is something very personal) is how the heads keep their tones so much longer than any other product I've used.

I usually use Clear heads but I just ordered and installed a set of coated R2's for the sake of testing, and it really offers the sound you seek in a coated head, round and warm with that signature tone it gives to your toms. Lot of low ends and a very smooth, controlled sound.

Sure, I'll go back to clear heads because of tonal preference (call it the wow factor) but seriously. you can't go wrong with these.

Durable

Comments about Aquarian Texture Coated Response 2 Drumhead:

These heads seem to be very durable, but in a live situation, a bit dead for my taste. Even through the drum mics they seem to lack something. I think they would be great if you were putting them on a studio kit, or looking for a head that has no overones at all. They sound like a Remo Emperor that someone has added Zero Rings too. Which, i know, some guys like. Very durable and the coating does not chip at all.

Perfect all around head

By Nate-V-VvB

Comments about Aquarian Texture Coated Response 2 Drumhead:

After trying just about every head, I can honestly say that this head is my favorite. It does exactly what the description claims and sounds great. I tune in the medium/high range for a more open sound and the tone just sings. If you're looking for an head that works in any situation, get these. I'm not sure how they work on snare, being that I usually only like a 1-ply head on mine.

My favorite

Comments about Aquarian Texture Coated Response 2 Drumhead:

I've tried just about every head out there. Aquarian Response 2 coated heads are the best if you want that deep, dark, warm sound with controlled overtones.

awesome

Comments about Aquarian Texture Coated Response 2 Drumhead:

I got my new heads today. I spent a couple of hours changing the old ones and putting the new ones on and then I tuned them up and they sound great. It really didn't take too long to get them like I wanted. These heads are really strong and the texture coat feels and looks good and it also makes them stronger. The heads have a real good response to sticks, mallets, and brushes. There is really not a whole lot of overtone which gives them a nice warm sound.
