This head fits very tight on my mid-80's Ludwig Acrolite. I bought two heads and they both fit the same. I have put other heads on this drum without any problems. I don't know if this is a bad batch or the nature of these heads. Otherwise, tone is good and coating seems like it will hold up. However, due to the tight fit I will not buy this head again.

I got this 14 inch head for my snare. The new Z-100 texture coating on it is fantastic. The head was easy to tune and produced a really nice snap. The only thing I wasn't to happy about is the place where I can it to get that good snap. It's right in the center (duh), but the area is pretty small.

I have this Aquarian Texture Coated with center dot underneath installed on my Black Panther 13x6 Black Lacquer Premium Maple Snare. Beware!! Amazing tone!. Not that "plastic" sound on most of snare batter heads. Get this one. Easy to tune and has the most outstanding sound I get on all of my entire career. AMAZING...
