Classic coated look and sound.
A coated, single-ply, medium-weight drumhead. The Satin Finish is the thinnest and most durable coating ever developed. Unlike conventional coatings it resists "chipping" and it lasts and lasts. It has an amazing stick and brush response and is great for snares and toms.

Aquarian Texture Coated Heads
Comments about Aquarian Texture Coated Drumhead:
I love these heads on my jazz set. They allow a great tone from my birch shell Ludwigs, with just enough definition but not an overpowering ring. I get great light sounds for the bossa's but they get attention when I lay into them when trading four's.

Bad Experience
Comments about Aquarian Texture Coated Drumhead:
I had heard a lot of good things about Aquarian heads and their quality so I paid the extra money and got a whole set of Aquarian Texture Coated heads. That is 4 tom batters and 2 snare batters. I had seen Remo heads in the past wear out rather quickly and I had had Evans before and wasn't satisfied with the tone. These heads had neither. Within 2 weeks the coating wasn't wearing down but flying off in a white cloud. I never got a decent sound of out any of the heads ( I got Fiberskyns about a month or so later and only kept two as backups). This was embarassing and confusing for me being a jazz drummer to have coating flying off the heads like I was some sort of crazy rock drummer :) Aquarian heads were supposedly not supposed to have these issues but the very heads I bought did. I have NEVER seen a Remo or Evans head with these sort of problems. I did buy a Modern Vintage head and was very pleased with it but cannot justify paying twice as much as Fiberskyns for example not to mention no company stocks them. I cannot recommend Aquarian Texture Coated heads to anyone but will recommend Modern Vintage heads if you are willing to hunt for them and spend twice the money.

tremendous
Comments about Aquarian Texture Coated Drumhead:
I use these as my batters over classic clear (in studio) or over hi-frequency (live)They sound even better than the old coated Remo Ambassador and last twice as long.I've had these on for 6 months now and I've only had to re-tune them twice. They are starting to go brown in the middle, 4 months longer than Remo's! I will keep playing them til they start sounding bad. (and that wont be for a while!) This is my second pair of this head on batters, my last batters lasted a year and I think these will too.if you like coated heads, I strongly recommend these over 'chip-after-2-weeks-ambassador' or 'listen-to-my-horrible-plasticy-sound-g1s'

great sound, but not durable
Comments about Aquarian Texture Coated Drumhead:
i love the sound that that head produces, on my snare, but after about two months, it just split in half

great heads!
Comments about Aquarian Texture Coated Drumhead:
I've been endorsing Aquarian heads for the last two years and I've been very satisfied. These are reliable, durable and well-engineered heads. Aquarian heads have a super-strong epoxy-bonded hoop and a collar that accommodates all bearing edge designs. I used Remo for years then tried Aquarian on a whim and now I'm sold.I wont play anything else.

Unbelieveable heads
Comments about Aquarian Texture Coated Drumhead:
These drumheads performed better for me than the Remo texture coated that I have used in the past. The response is superb and the drums overall sound quality is unmatchable. Easy to tune and relatively inexpensive. I am anxious to see how long they last.
