I'm using it with an Aquarian Super Kick II. Kit ia a Gretsch Catalina Maple with an 18x22 kick. So easy to tune it's amazing. No need for anything in the drum. Inner floating trim ring on regulator removes any/all overtones providing a very focused sound. Get one, you'll like it. Props to Music123 for their superior pricing and service.

i like these heads the hole is 4 inches i think from the look of it which is good for micing at shows. you realy cant go wrong.

Being a recording and touring drummer. I am always searching for the best kick drum sound. Wether I am in the studio or stage I am always complimented on my kick. I have used every resonant head there is out there on the market and nothing compares to the regulator with the offset hole. By far the best sounded kick I have ever had.

The regulator is the best kick resonant head I have ever used. It has a floating muffle ring that helps take out the unwanted "woouumm" and discordant ring from the kick. I've used it with both Evans EQ 3 and Aquarian SuperKick 1 batter heads, and in both cases the muffle ring made tuning easier and the sound better.

Once in a while our band hosts a blues jam and drummers who are my friends love the sound of my kick. I recommend the Aquarian Super Kick II to them and to everybody.
