I purchased the Aquarian Pad to replace on a stock head for my new drumset. The stock head didn't sound too bad so I decided to go ahead and keep it instead of replacing it. However, since the head was a single ply head, I thought it would best to purchase a kevlar pad. Since, I am highly impressed with Aquarian products, I decided to purchase their kick pad. After I placed it on the head, I was amazed at the sound! The bass drum sound punchier and more focused! Best of all, I was able to take the pad off the next day to place it a little lower on the bass drum. Of course, I wouldn't do repeatedly since you might lose some glue, but at least I was able to move it.

I put mine on yesterday and for the price its well worth it. Protect your bass drum and get a deeper sound that projects. Great for double bass drum pedals!
