Initially, I bought these sticks for their durability and thought they would save me money. I am a hard hitter, so the replacement covers really helped me out for the 7 months these things lived before they broke in half. Very good sticks for hard hitters, but not good at accentuation or rimshots. Recommended for what they're marketed as, rock sticks.

I have to agree the greatest sticks I've ever used.But I have to say I broke two sticks in 4 months.I know what you are thinking. I'm not a hard hitter, I have never broke a cymbal or a head in 13 years. Very rarely break wooden sticks. They broke right at the end of the shaft towards your hand. I do rim shots and sometimes not on purpose. I think the sticks should be beefed up a little. With that said I am considering buying another pair, they are a dream to play.

These sticks are a bashers dream. A little on the heavy side so I found them to be a little lacking in the speed/articulation department. Not that this is a bad thing, the right stick for the right job after all. Personally I find the "5b Rock" to be very excellent, it is my favorite. They are the same size as a 5b so you can shred but with a short taper for the added durability. Truly versatile. Regardless, I love these sticks. They are so comfortable to use, I will NEVER go back to wood.

These sticks are something else! I bought a pair of Rick Allen signature models a few days ago, not seeing the big deal myself. I play with a very fast punk band. I was jamming with my band and the speeds that are possible and the duration of playability is insane! You can swing and throw these things round the kit with confidence and above all FEEL that you just cant match with a conventional wood stick. These are fantastic.

These drumsticks are outstanding. The first day I got them I was drumming 2 times faster and so much cleaner then before. They are a little bit heavy but after you get use to them its worth every penny. I would recommend this drumstick to anyone who loves to drum and is sick of not being able to play to their full potential.

These sticks are amazing. I agree that at first they are rather strange feeling compared to wood sticks, but if you have a bad problem with breaking sticks, these are the sticks for you. Once you get used to these sticks, which can be a matter of a few days, you will be playing faster than ever, and be spending less $$$. How could you go wrong?

These sticks are so incredible. I received them for Christmas from a friend and didn't think i'd use them too much because they were so heavy, but in fact they are the only sticks I use now because you become well accustomed to them. They made me faster and more precise with my playing in a matter of days. I suggest these sticks for anyone looking to improve speed and/or precision.
