These sticks are incredible if you play hard but you sacrifice near unbreakability for speed...(the things are HEAVY) I've only had 1 break on me in 2 years of playing with them so thats a pretty good track record. Be prepared to buy a warranty on your splash cymbals however (They've cracked 2 of mine already) I highly recommend Aheads but if you're playing anything faster than System Of A Down or Fuel maybe you should try a lighter stick such as the Ahead 7A's.

I got them at my ahead drumstick at Christmas and I played with them and there rock!!! There are unbreakable and is for PURE METAL!!! If you play heavy metal or rock, then you have too have these!!!

These sticks are wonderful. They have a metal rod going down the middle so you can replace the covering easily. If you are a (wanna kill the cymbal)type of drummer I wouldn't recommend this for you because if that metal rod in the middle bends you can kiss the sticks goodbye, but if your specialty is snare like me or you use a trap but you just don't kill the sticks on the cymbals, these are the best buy you will get.

The Lars Ulrich sticks out of the ahead line of drum gear are very very good. They have such amazing bounce when you play. They tend to be tough on your cymbals if you go no holds barred when you play. If you decide to buy these sticks you will not be wrong in doing so. They are uncomparably better than wood sticks. They may cost more but basically anything you break can be replace (sheaths and tips) don't go crazy and try to break them on you knee or you first time playing with them and you will be happy. They last longer than you can play.

I play in a Christian rock band for my church, and these are the best sticks you can ever buy!! I have benn playing for 14 years and I have used all the wooden sticks you can think of, none of them compare to the sound, feel, and quality of the easton ahead's they are amazing!! I normally would go through about 2 or 3 wooden sets in a year i've only had to buy 2 pairs of the aheads in the last 4 years, amazing!! I use the Lars Ulrich edition and they have the best sound even on an electric set, which i dont recommned buying if you are a true drummer. I deffenitely recommend these sticks to anybody wants a quality sound, great durability, and all out perfect drum stick.

I'd been using wooden sticks for about 5 months before I bought my first pair of Easton Aheads. I used to break at least 3 pairs of Zildjian 5b sticks per month. I was getting tired of paying 15 bucks a stick, and have it break in a week, so one of my buddies introduced me to these graphite sticks. After using his, I knew I had to buy a pair of my own. I bought the Lars sticks first, these sticks were sick, I loved them. I play my drums pretty damn hard, and these sticks could handle the pressure of my hard hits. Unfortunately, one of the sticks snapped in half about 9 months after I bought them. So I went down to my local music store, and picked up a pair of Ahead XL Rock Concert sticks. I hate to admit, but in my opinion, the XL Rocks were way better than the lars sticks. They are longer, heavier, and have a larger diameter, just the way I like them. If you're a hard hitter, a big guy, and like a bigger stick, I strongly recommend you to buy a pair of Easton Ahead XL Rock Concert or Studio graphite sticks.

I've been playing drums for about 3 years now and I'd usually go through maybe 2 sets a week, but when I bought these, I only had to replace the tapers maybe 1 or 2 months. They really do reduce fatigue and there's been a dramatic increase in my speed. I definitely recommend these sticks.

These sticks are by far the best I've ever used. Much better than what I used before. Excellent sticks all-around. Drum sounds are more crisp, and feel good in the hands. Very impressive.
