Revolutionary dual-element design — condenser and dynamic elements in a single housing.

The Audio-Technica AE2500 kick drum mic has a dynamic element that delivers the aggressive attack of the beater while the condenser captures the round tonalities of the shell. The dual elements are positioned in a perfect phase relationship, which is practically unachievable with 2 separate microphones. Robust design provides enduring dependability on the road. The AE2500 microphone features an integral 80Hz HPF switch and a 10dB pad. Includes the Audio-Technica AT8471 isolation clamp.

Comments about Audio-Technica AE2500 Dual-Element Kick Drum Microphone:

I've used one for 7-8 years. House sound in a club in Mpls,MN. Sometimes I see 10-15 drum kits a wk. Haven't found one yet that this mic hasn't smoked it! We run rock, (even some older headline groups like Poison, Ratt, Cheep Trick, etc) Blues, R&B, & even some Swing. From brute force too sensitive & everything in between. I run the mic all the way in the kick. Facing the wooden shell. Very light gate. It's so cool, you eq the low end mic then the high end, so during performance if you need more lows or highs it's volume issue not a re-equing one. Has never been on a bench. It's a "Warrior".
