Love the Triplet Drum Glove!

Comments about Triplet Drum Gloves:

I have used the Triplet Drum Gloves since first learning how to play. Without them, my learning curve for understanding how to hold drumsticks would have been much more difficult. Now that my drumming has improved, these gloves remain part of my practice and playing routines. They are a great product for every drummer, no matter what level you play.

Be warned...

Comments about Triplet Drum Gloves:

These gloves claim to eliminate dropped sticks which is quite an overstatement. The idea here is that he three elastic bands will hold the stick in perfect playing position in your hand allowing you, if you so choose, to open your hand completely and not lose the stick. This is decidedly not the case. Your grip on the stick happens at the fulcrum point, allowing you to hold the sick and make slight adjustments as you play, but using the elastic band attached at the finger joint on this glove means that the stick is wrapped under an elastic band and your thumb is pressing against the band which gives you less grip and not more. As you play you can feel the stick slowly sliding forward and out of your hand. The DVD that comes with this product is a series of demonstrations where the inventor shows how this supposedly will work. At no point does he play a solid beat, just loose open rolls on a pad. The bottom line here is- if your style consists of lightly played open rolls then this is the thing for you. If you play solidly and with even a small amount of force you will actually have to work harder to keep the stick from shooting out of your hand. I can imagine that if you have some sort of hand injury and play very lightly then this might help you. Disappointed.
