The Choice Among Bass Players
This unit offers the same easy-to-use, smooth, variable controls for distortion amount, filter cutoff and volume level so you can preset just the right amount of overdrive, tune in on the presence--and FLY! In addition, the TurboRAT has been designed to work equally well with guitars that utilize active electronics. The TurboRAT is housed in Pro Co's classic, virtually indestructible steel enclosure with the simple-to-use "no tools required" battery compartment. The "Turbo" offers a sloped-face construction for easy switch activation, an LED indicator light which makes the on/off status easy to see, and glow-in-the-dark graphics and knob indicators for added visibility.

Great pedal

Comments about Pro Co TurboRAT Pedal:

I've had 2 TurboRats. I had to sell the first one. It is a really good pedal for this price. Although it needs a very good amp, you can get really clear tone and great distortion out of it. It's good for rock, blues etc, but it's not very good for metal, due to the lack of crunch. A must have for solo guitarists. The solo sound is just awesome.

Awesome

Comments about Pro Co TurboRAT Pedal:

The first distortion I really loved to use on both bass and guitar, mainly bass. It gives a great dirty sound, but still preserves the punch in the lower bass regions. It can also be used to turn your bass into something that sounds as much as a guitar as you can come with just four strings, by just turning the tone knob to full high frequency boost. On guitar it is a great sounding distortion that fits well for just about anything between slightly dirtied up blues, and way into the fields of heavily distorted black/death/nu-metal. This has true bypass, so when you turn it off, it is truly away from the way of signal. Even if your battery dies it will still let the signal pass through unchanged. And the design is more than just sturdy, this box is built for the live stage, and it is built to survive. If there ever is an apocalypse, expect to find these boxes around even after it has passed. This little box is quite easy to modify, if you are that kind of person, to get even more of just about everything you want. Nowadays mine is a true monster distortion).
