Comments about Ibanez Sonic Distortion Modified Guitar Effects Pedal:
Very versatile. Some like few knobs/simplicity, but to me more versatility equals fewer pedals. Not only the standard vol/tone/dist knobs, but a mid-boost and gain boost switches. Gain off, mids on, dist turned down, it sounds like a tube screamer turned up.mids off, gain on, dist cranked, it gives a heavy, grungy "evanescense-bring me to life" type saturation. The gain adds tube-like power and breakup, turning distortion up seems to add bass and a "heavy" sound. Overall, there's plenty of options with this one. It's well built, sounds good and [$]. I'm keeping it.
