A hi-hat clutch release system to save a drummer time and aggravation.

The new Quick Release Hi Hat Clutch from Gibraltar sets the standard for pro-level hi hat cymbal hardware. This clutch outperforms the standard clutch in versatility, ease of use and setup time. The quick release mechanism replaces the standard screw-on threaded nut with a spring-loaded lock that slips on and off in less than one second. Just pull down on the collar and it slides off, to reinsert just depress the middle section with your thumb saving you time and making it easy to mount and un-mount hi hat cymbals.

The clutch also does away with threads, meaning no more loosening of the bottom nut - making this the fastest and most convenient clutch available today.

The Quick Release Hi Hat Clutch is also now available in a drop clutch version. All the quick release features with a drop clutch action.

Comments about Gibraltar Quick Release Hi-Hat Drop Clutch:

It's a very well made piece of hardware, however I have to hit the lever with my hand to get it to release. I use 5B's and am a heavy hitter, so it seems like it ought to drop when I hit it with a stick. Maybe it just needs time to loosen up. I really like the way the bottom nut attaches - makes tear down a breeze.
