Good Bargain

from Pennsylvania

Comments about CAD Equitek e100 Condenser Microphone:

I've had this mic for almost 10 years. I always have guys asking me, "what mic do you have" when they hear my mixdowns. I think that goes to say a lot. It's about the sound. Always. For the price, it's a powerful mic with potential in many other applications than voice. My advice to would-be buyers is to work on mic positioning instead of compensating with EQ.

Not quite useless

from Reading PA

Comments about CAD Equitek e100 Condenser Microphone:

This is a misleading microphone. If you've never used a good large diaphragm condenser, then you'll love the sound. If you have, you'll notice it only picks up high mids, and pretty much loses the rest. That being said, keep it away from your vocalists, but use it close to the kick beater - picks up the right frequencies for that "wet slap" kind of sound - also good for second miking a guitar cabinet to catch some nasal honk. Makes an OK overhead, but not enough sparkle to be great.

" $1000 - $2000 dollars Mic Sound "

Comments about CAD Equitek e100 Condenser Microphone:

This mic is absolutely amazing, I had the first model, and every song I recorded with it, my fellow independent hip-hop music producers could have bet I have a $1000 dollar mic, and now with my new e1002, it's over!. Seriously, the clarity and richness, and frequency response of the sound as regards vocals [that's what I use it for] is very impressive not to mention it's solid casing. like chevys, this mic is " built for though ". you don't need any tube pre-amp with this baby. And for the price, it's more than a steal.
