Stunningly clean, transparent response!

The CAD C195 is a superior low-noise, electret condenser cardioid microphone designed for professional vocalists and musicians. It provides the performance and features to satisfy today's most demanding professionals.

The C195 mic has a wide, flat-frequency response that provides unsurpassed natural transparent sound. The cardioid pickup pattern minimizes annoying feedback and reduces the pickup of unwanted off-axis sounds. A transformerless electronic design provides optimum low-frequency response and low distortion. An effective internal multistage pop filter minimizes wind and breath noise.

The CAD C195 has a Flex-Form hardened steel grille screen that dramatically resists deformation while greatly reducing any risk of adverse performance caused by a bent or dented ball screen. This unique ability to retain its original shape assures that the CAD C195 will maintain its attractive appearance.

The C195 features the CAD exclusive (I.N.R.-3) Impact Noise Rejection system. A proprietary rubber shock mount isolates the transducer from the barrel, thus dramatically reducing cable, stand, and handling noise. The need for any external shock mounting device is virtually eliminated.

The low-frequency response of the CAD C195 may be enhanced by increasing or decreasing the distance from the sound source. This phenomenon is technically known as "proximity effect". Nominal or "flat" response is generated at a distance of 24 inches or more. However, as the distance to the sound source decreases, the bass sensitivity increases, providing a solid, robust character.
Requires phantom power.

Comments about CAD C195 Cardioid Electret Condenser Microphone:

This is not the first (nor last) CAD C195 Condenser mic I've purchased. I've used (and recommended) these mics at several church and community choir events and have always received compliments on how clear and wonderful the performances were.

In my home studio, I have more expensive mics but these will surprise you when micing acoustic instruments like guitars. They are especially useful in soft performances where feedback is not a problem.

It just goes to prove that you don't always have to spend big money to get big performance.

Comments about CAD C195 Cardioid Electret Condenser Microphone:

I have been using CAD mics for years and will not buy anything else. They always do the job perfectly. The C195 is the best bet for amping acoustic instruments and for vocalists who are not comfortable holding a dynamic mic close to their mouth. Of course, I cannot afford many different types of mics for all types of aplications, so I use the C195 and its dynamic cousin, and a CAD studio mic for small singing groups. I would recommend CAD mics to anyone for any use.

    By TERRY SMITH

    from CHESLEY, ONT.

Comments about CAD C195 Cardioid Electret Condenser Microphone:

These Microphones are absolutely amazing. Extrememly accurate and the proximity effect is wonderful for bringing out robust bass tones in your voice that would otherwise be missed by other microphones. nice crisp highs too. I have only used this for vocals both live and in studio. works incredible in both places. just be careful in live situations if you get too close to speakers as it will feedback. Thats my only minor beef. IIts my favourite of all mics.THE PRICE WAS THE BEST TOO.

If I could only have one style mic, it would be this one!

    By Hensley's Bluegrass Music

Comments about CAD C195 Cardioid Electret Condenser Microphone:

I have to say, this is one of my favorite "goto" mics when tracking someone who is both singing and playing an acoustic instrument. The way these mics can protect against off-axis sounds is a testimony to their design. With proper micing techniques, these condensors do a wonderful job of picking up their source with negligible bleed-over. These do provide a proximity effect that I actually find quite pleasing in some vocal tracks. Just keep in mind that they have no bass roll-off switches or gain pads onboard, so you will have to be aware of the signal coming into your mixer/recorder and EQ appropriately. It really is true, if I was forced to only have one type of microphone, it would be this microphone. I have a few other style condensor mics and a few types of dynamic mics in my studio, but this one is my most versitile.

EXTREMELY SENSITIVE, DOESN'T MISS A THING!

    By TERRY SMITH

    from CHESLEY, ONT.

Comments about CAD C195 Cardioid Electret Condenser Microphone:

I HAVE SANG THRU A LOT OF MIC'S AND I ENJOY THIS MICROPHONE THE BEST. CRISP, CLEAR HIGHS... ACCURATE MIDS & LOWS...IT WORKS WELL FOR BASS VOCALISTS TOO! FOR ME, I JUST ADD A LITTLE TREBLE AND SOME FX AND ITS HARD TO BEAT, ESPECIALLY FOR THE PRICE.I LIKED THIS MIC SO MUCH I HAVE 3 IN MY COLLECTION. I ALSO ENCOURAGED MY CHURCH TO BUY A COUPLE WHICH THEY HAVE NOT HAD ANY COMPLAINTS. THE ONLY DRAWBACK IS THAT ITS A LITTLE SENSITIVE TO FEEDBACK, SO KEEP IT AWAY FROM THE SPEAKERS.
