Great Reference Mic for Low Dollars

By Papa C

from Greenwood, IN

Comments about Behringer ECM8000 Microphone:

This mic works! I have used the Sabine SQ 1001. Priced at 299.00 and the ECM8000 (49.99) responds with virtually the same free field results as the Sabine. Not to cut Sabine equipment short. Just to emphasis that for 50 dollars you can achieve the same results.Personally I have not used this mic for anything other than RTA work. But I have friends that claim it works well as an overhead on drum kits and acoustic guitar as well. What you hear out of the cymbals and sound hole of the guitar is what is picked up with the mic.Great job once again to Behringer for a quality - low cost solution.

An awesome vocal recording mic

from Largo, MD

Comments about Behringer ECM8000 Microphone:

I've been using the ECM8000 in my studio for several years and was told how nice a vocal mic it makes. Once I tried it out I was hooked on the high quality and clarity on the play back. Not just for measuring your PA system but a very valuable tool in the studio recording side also. I have mics that cost hundreds and still don't come close the the recording quality of the ECM8000 by Behringer. Very good microphone.

Simply the gold standard measurement mic

By Les Hardin

from Accokeek, MD USA

Comments about Behringer ECM8000 Microphone:

If you use a spectrum analyzer to ring out your sound system, you need this mic. Coupled with a Behringer SHARK to provide the phantom power, this mic delivers. Every sound person should have at least one of these in their kit. I'm permanently mounting one of these in front of my FOH (front of house) speaker for instant spectrum analysis and feedback finding during the services.
