Unobtrusive clip-on mic for brasswinds and percussion!

The Audio-Technica PRO 35 clip-on microphone is designed for sax, brass, toms, and percussion. The PRO35 is a cardioid condenser mic that excels in high-SPL (sound pressure level) applications and is ideal for active stage performances. Its extended frequency response captures subtle nuances of the performance. The included UniMount clip permits accurate positioning and provides shock resistance while protecting the element. The microphone's cardioid polar pattern reduces pickup of sounds from the sides and rear, improving isolation of the desired sound source.

¬ĘThe A-T PRO 35 includes the AT8538 power module, which accepts the PRO 35's locking cable connector and terminates to an XLR male connector for a wired connection to a mixing console etc.

(If you're looking for a wireless solution, the A-T PRO 35cW terminates to a 4-pin connector for use with A-T UniPak bodypack wireless transmitters.)

Requires phantom power.

Comments about Audio-Technica PRO 35 Cardioid Condenser Clip-on Instrument Microphone:

I have used this for years and overall I love it. However, the jack is so big in comparison to the wire that the wire inside the insulation breaks often right near the jack. I have had to have it fixed fairly often by clipping the wire a little shorter each time. Suggestions? Install a clip on the jack so it can be clipped to pants or a back pocket or something - instead of just hanging onto the floor or bunched up in a pocket. The wires break very easily.

Comments about Audio-Technica PRO 35 Cardioid Condenser Clip-on Instrument Microphone:

I have used the PRO35 for five years now. I've played with it in both large and small venue with great results.
I have the hard wired and the cordless. Both sound great. Sound is a little thin on the palm keys on my Soprano. I highly recommend this mic.

Comments about Audio-Technica PRO 35 Cardioid Condenser Clip-on Instrument Microphone:

Bought as a cheap alternative to expensive Acoustic guitar mics.I use 2 signals, the built-in
pickup and this clip on mic. Had to make custom
velcro setup to hold it in place. Very nice 2nd signal to mix with the built in pickup.

            Well Worth the $$$

            By

            from Baxley / McRae, GA

Comments about Audio-Technica PRO 35 Cardioid Condenser Clip-on Instrument Microphone:

I've had my AT wireless setup for 7 years now, and this mic has held up marvelously. I play sax and trumpets, along with keyboards & vox, and the sound is always clear and full, and I've never had any feedback problems. I've even used this mic in tandem in some studio situations with great results. I can't say enough about the sound and durability of this mic.

            Fabulous mic for gigs

            By

            from Ashland

Comments about Audio-Technica PRO 35 Cardioid Condenser Clip-on Instrument Microphone:

This a a great mic at a very reasonable price. The sound is warm and very clear and makes you want to take long solos on all saxes (and it even works great on an oboe!) If you don't have the dough for a wireless system, but want to free yourself from standing in front of a mic, this is the real deal.
