These have a size of a 2b but weigh less so you get control but its softer and its truly a great pair of general sticks for SD or snare drum.

These are the best practice/snare sticks I've ever used, and will always use. They are so well balanced, and their weight just seems perfect. I highly recommend these to anyone who takes their practice SERIOUS. These sticks will help you develop good dynamics, and rudimental techniques. If your budget allows, always play the best.

The SD1 is the best concert snare stick available. It's thickness makes it more controllable, but since it's made of maple, as opposed to hickory, it isn't too loud and gives a better bounce for tighter rolls. For any concert situation, you cannot find a better stick.

These sticks are awesome. My first pair have lasted over two years, but I had to buy new ones since I forgot my old pair at a competition. Everyone in our drumline uses these sticks. I've never had any problems with them, except when learning how to play traditional. (blisters) I think that happens to everyone. Excellent drum stick for the price, and if you take care of them, they'll take care of you.

These sticks are great. I can do anything with them and they make my ride sound just the way I've always wanted it, nice and pingy. They are big but yet, still light and are perfect for fast playing. They also take a while to break. They lasted longer than my 5b sticks that I had!

I leaned how to play percussion using these sticks. To this day, I still use the SD-1 General exclusively. I have yet to find a better balanced, more durable, and higher quality stick for the price. Here's to another 20 years of drumming with Vic Firth!

These sticks are great! They lasted for a year! They are very solid and are made of hickory wood. You can play all kinds of music with these wonderful sticks, and it is also worth buying. This is by far one the best drumsticks that I had ever tried!
