Comments about Musser M32 Studio 4-Octave Paduk Marimba:
I've played for a while, and used a set of bells and borrowed instruments for rehearsal, etc. until I bought this marimba a couple years ago. You can't beat it for the price. It's so nice having a marimba to play without leaving the home and the few times I've needed to take my M32 to a gig, I found it easy to carry (though a hard case would be necessary for heavy road work). All-in-all, I say get a (real wood) marimba before the price of paduk goes nuts and these things cost a fortune.
