These maracas were exactly what we thought they would be. We perform interactive children's music shows, the kids come up to play instruments with us during our songs. I was looking for a good size for school agers and these are perfect for K-11 years old. They are purple and I have found some of the older boys don't really like them because of this.

We perform interactive kids music shows and constantly need percussion instruments that school-agers (5-11) can use and like. These maracas were exactly what we wanted. Perfect size, nice color and nice sound. Some of our songs we get up to 10 kids with us, so we don't want the maracas to be too loud. The sound is perfect, we love these, we will buy more

Hi - this would be an inexpensive giveaway item or for older kids, but for toddler programs they are to big to manuver. They are cheaper plastic , but seem to hold up ok. None have broken. Probably wouldn't recommend for high use situations like public school.
