I've been planing to purchase a new trumpet for a few years, namely a pro-level trumpet. Recently I initiated my safari and went to various stores and tried out several trumpets. There are a lot of great trumpets to try out. For myself, the Yamaha YTR-8335LA jumped out at me, I've never experienced a trumpet that felt like it was made just for me. This trumpet is incredible. The response is immediate, the sound is even and full of rich harmonics/overtones. The color pallet is wonderful, it can play dark or you can step on the gas and it will light up and fill the room. Wayne Bergeron and Bob Malone certainly created a masterpiece with the YTR-8335LA.
