I recently bought a Schilke 43A Gold for jazz and a Schilke 51D Gold for symphonic music. I knew that if I was going to fork out probably more money than this poor college student had, then I had better Protec(t) my investment. The Protec A204 is VERY well-padded, but by no means does it take up all your space. Also, it is snug inside the pouch, but still very easy to retrieve your mouthpiece when in a hurry. The next time I buy a mouthpiece, I am definitely buying another Protec A204 along with it.

this is a great pouch for the winter months. my band room is usually cold so this pouch really makes a difference

I bought one like this at a local music store. It cost a lot more than what these do. I play trombone and it was good during the winter because you could slip it in your jacket pocket to keep your mouthpiece warm. These holders also keep it from getting dirty while in your case or your pocket.
