I bought a Black Kelly Trumpet Mouthpiece(5c) this past marching season and LOVED IT! I used to stop playing after our 2nd song due to the energy required but with the Kelly...NO! I played the whole show and Stands! These are worth buying! I loved my black one so much I bought a trumpet clear 3c! a wonderful, wonderful item for any brass player!

Excellent for the cold mornings!

By Brandi

from Lincoln

Comments about Kelly Mouthpieces French Horn Mouthpiece:

I must give two thumbs up for this mouthpiece! Both of my parents were skeptical, but let me try it out. It has helped a lot for the early mornings, when all the other horn players are stuck with their mouthpieces in pockets, in their mouth, or in their hands. It does have the downside to making my lips tired after being in the upper register unlike my metal one, and does make me go out of tune sometimes, but other than that, it's a great mouthpiece.

For marching students, not for soloists

By Miss Banas

from Lancaster, NY

Comments about Kelly Mouthpieces French Horn Mouthpiece:

This mouthpiece is good for cold marching band practices or football games, but don't be fooled! Although it is not composed of metal or silver, it does not improve your chops. I do not recommend this if you are a soloist needed to reach difficult notes or for solo playing. But for marching band rehearsals in cold weather, I give it 2 thumbs up!

excellent product

By Lisa-ABLoM

Comments about Kelly Mouthpieces French Horn Mouthpiece:

This mouthpiece made a huge difference for playing half-time shows and stand tunes for my high school son. Our weather gets pretty chilly and his lips were easily tired out when he used his metal mouthpiece. This one of plastic has helped him keep a steadier tone, and he has enjoyed playing much more. We started a trend, and now most of the brass players in our school also bought these. No complaints here !!

Great for Marching and Pep

By Laura-u--kJ

from Duluth, MN

Comments about Kelly Mouthpieces French Horn Mouthpiece:

I bought one last year and I use it for marching and pep games. I don't have to deal with my mouthpiece freezing against my lips in parades or worrying about it getting dented at rowdy pep games. The plastic takes away a little of the buzziness, but it's barely noticeable at parades and games. The colors are awesome. I have a clear one. They're incredibly light. They're cheap, and they don't dent. It's an awesome idea for a high school student.
