Our high school band recently received a shipment of seven of these. The cases are very compact and convenient. I was the first to try one, and it sounds great. The mellophone comes with a trumpet 7c and a french horn 3 mouthpiece with an adapter attached. If you're used to a true mellophone mouthpiece, you might prefer not to use the 7c, because the cup is shallower, and the shank is longer than a typical mellophone mouthpiece. Also, you may find the french horn mouthpiece hard to control. Again, this is for those who are used to a real mellophone mouthpiece.Overall, an excellent mellophone for a good price.
