A classic

Comments about Humes & Berg 158 Trombone Velvet Tone Bucket Mute 7-1/2" Bell:

The Velvet Tone bucket mute is a standard for any trombonist who plays jazz or pop music. They're great used in a section or for solo work. These have been around for decades and I'm sure they're here to stay. They can be a bit cumbersome to get on or off in a hurry, but how often does that come up? Be sure to get the right size for your bell!

Good mute.

Comments about Humes & Berg 158 Trombone Velvet Tone Bucket Mute 7-1/2" Bell:

They have improved the clips since the last bucket mute I bought decades ago. It clips firmly and easily to trombone bells from 7-3/8" to 8-1/4". Bucket mutes have a mellow sound that takes the brassy edge off the tone. Nice when you want it.
