I have had this model horn since fifth grade. Now I am in 11th, and it still plays as well as when it was new. Numerous directors have commented on the "monster sound and tone" that I have, and I attribute most of it to this wonderful horn. I know that it will continue to serve me well in this upcoming year as section leader for the symphonic band.

This French Horn is one of the Best, along with all of the other Conn French Horns there are. I have used this horn model since I was in the 6th grade. I have used it all my life and think that that it is the best! I have never, seen, heard or used a better french Horn. I promise you that you will be completely satisfied if you get this model.

For an intermediate level horn, it is good. However, after playing it for a year, I bought my own horn (the 379 was a school horn), and my teacher said that the 379 was holding me back. So in summary - this horn is good for your first 3-4 years of playing only. I would not recommend buying this new unless you are not planning to go to college as a musician. Beyond that, it is a very good deal, as is the 378, (which I liked better).

I've had the horn about 5 or 6 months and I've played it in a school concert band, in a community orchestra, and at gigs. I've never had a problem with it. It always has a nice tone which is my favorite thing about the horn and I have never found anything not to like about it.

I would personally say that this horn is very well crafted. The tone produced on any note is warm, steady and high notes are moderately easy to reach in my opinion. I strongly recommend this horn to intermediate players. The tone produced is loud and dynamics are easily achieved. Best horn I own.

Having not played for years, I purchased a used F Horn to begin playing again. I have used that horn for a couple of years, but decided I wanted a double horn. The Holton H379 is an awesome instrument, from the ease of playing to the wonderful sound. I would recommend it to any one that enjoys the horn. My experience with WW&BW was outstanding and would use them again, price was equally outstanding.

i have had this instrument for about 6 years. I have never had any problems with it. I would recommend this instrument to any player on any level. It is not only a great sounding instrument but it also is very affordable.
