Mid-Bag Suspension System reduces the risk of dings or dents.
Gard Bags have long been a favorite among musicians at all levels needing quality protection at a reasonable price. The Mid-Bag Suspension series builds upon this popularity. In ordinary bags, the trumpet rests on the bottom of the bag. If dropped, the protruding parts are likely to dent. Using strategically placed blocks of padding the Mid-Bag Suspension series "suspends" your instrument away from the sides. Further stabilizing the trumpet is a dense foam cone mounted on a hard disc on the inside of the case. This suspension system reduces the risk of dings or dents if the bag knocks into a wall or is dropped from a short distance. Like all Gard Bags, the Mid-Bag Suspension series features a water resistant nylon or buffalo leather exterior, rugged zippers, soft interior flap to protect the instrument from the zipper, backpack straps, and shoulder strap.

Gard Mid-Suspension Trumpet Gig Bag 501-MSK Black Synthetic
Comments about Gard Mid-Suspension Trumpet Gig Bag:
Gard Mid-Suspension Trumpet Gig Bag 501-MSK. My intended uses: gig bag and storage case. Best features:really good price, great material and construction (better protection than standard gig bags), great zippers, big accessory zip storage pouch. Worst fearures: huge carrying strap (heavy - best suited for a large tuba bag)(note this strap is very high quality just too big for the case - use a loop of parachute cord instead). The side storage pouch is big enough for valve oil and mouthpieces etc. but not for mutes or floor stands. Setup: when you get this bag you will have to position the suspension pads and the bell cone to fit your horn - they hold by heavy duty hook and loop material so this takes a few minutes. Getting used to the case: (zippers, flaps, cushions, and sides) are very stiff so at first your horn will be a bit hard to get in or out - this eases with use and the bag eventually fits like a glove (I know this from my older Gard bags - with age they don't get floppy they just fit like an old pair of jeans). I wouldnt ship in this bag or leave it under a bus but it's great for going to gigs and for leaving in a car trunk.
