This trumpet was a total disappointment. It was a gift and when he found the valves to stick and the tone to be awful, we had to return it - which was not inexpensive either. The instrument is ugly to look at and weighs next to nothing. Must have been made in some factory where no one cared what the end result was.

This trumpet does everything that a three or four thousand dollar trumpet will do! It is like all brass trumpets, an exact length of tubing for Bb, three valves and a mouthpiece. I keep reading that it is a good trumpet, but may not sound as good as a so and so trumpet. What determines the sound quality of the trumpet are the chops behind the mouthpiece. The column of air rushing thru the horn doesn't know if it is a Bach or Schilke or an Etude, it's all brass.

Harry James would sound the same playing a cheap horn as playing a high end horn. My Etude sounds just as good as my Schilke or Holton big bore. If I sound lousy on the Etude, I will sound just as lousy on the high end horns.

You can buy an Etude student trumpet and play it the rest of your life and it will serve you just as well as the most expensive horns, without the prestige of paying a big price for a big reputation. TRY IT, YOU'LL BUY IT!

I purchased 23 of these trumpets for donation to a public high school music program. The instruments are perfect for beginners. They come with a hard plastic case well padded inside and mouthpiece. Delivery was extremely prompt and the order was accurate. I would definitely make other purchases from music123 but would hope not to have the same person handle my account.
She knew nothing about trumpets and was not particularly helpful or friendly.

I started playing band 6 months ago and decided to buy myself a trumpet for scouts. This was the cheapest one I found, so I went and got it, and I am 100% satisfied. The trumpet is of excellent quality. It might not sound as nice as a Yamaha or a Bach, but for $100, it's amazing. It's an excellent trumpet for a beginner, I recommend it.

We start a program in music class where each student learns an instrumnet, though "old hat" for most public schools this was quite a feat for a non-public school- acquiring 30 instruments. Some were donated to the program, but we still needed additional trumpets and flutes. What a value to have been able to purchase such beautiful instruments at such reasonable prices! The trumpets blow easily, the valves have excellent action and the students are proud of their sound!

When I bought the cheapest trumpet I could find I knew I was taking a chance, but I am happy to report that this was a very good purchase. The instrument is performing well and though I now play with a group of musicians with pricey instruments they have no inkling that this is a bargain special. It is really good value, and a fraction of what I would have paid for a basic trumpet locally!

We wanted to find something for our son who's just starting out at 10 years old. Our school Band Director looked this trumpet over, played it, and said that it was a fine instrument. When we told him the price, he said that we got a great deal. This is a great trumpet for a first timer!

Just bought the Etude for my son, who is starting school band this year. Best I can tell, it is a beautiful trumpet with a really solid sound, and a great hardshell case. Really a tremendous deal for a beginning instrument!
