This is an excellent horn. I play this for my high school marching band, and it has a very deep sound and is able to achieve the loud volume a marcher strives for. Another excellent feature is the very thick metal of all DEG instruments, which is thicker than most competitors.

I have played Dynasty baritones during fall and spring marching season for the past two years. They make good horns for inexperienced players, due to their durable nature and the small bore, which means less air is required to get a full tone. Experienced players will find that the bore is too small and that the horn may easily be overplayed, and will want to find a larger horn. The Dynasty baritones also seem to play nearly half a pitch flat in the low register which can create severe intunation problems within the section. Other Yamaha and Kanstul horns outperform the Dynasty, although they are priced much higher.

This horn has a full, rich, beautiful and smooth sound. because of the way its built you can get twice the sound of any other baritone, plus this sound will surely stand out and really brings the bands tone together. the power and beauty of this instrument is really worth playing. I fully suggest this instrument to any one who enjoys playing in marching band.

I really like this horn, and would definately recommend it. I was able to pick it up the day I got it (also the night before our first comp.) and play through the feild show better than ever the next day. If you play a euphonium in a concert band or something of the like with a small shank, the horn will take a bit longer to get used to. The valves are a bit larger than normal, so I wouldn't recommend this for anyone with small hands. My left hand cramped up for about the first week of use because of the stretch around the valves. ...... I just noticed my left hand is bigger than my right now... Anyways, it's pretty good.One of the spit valves empties onto the main tubing, so I would say just make sure to wipe it off, say, at the end of practice, just to keep corrosion from spit down. The valves are very responsive, though, I'm not sure if this is just because I only use the DEG valve oil that came with the horn or not, but they move nicely none the less.

I LOVE THIS HORN. The thick metal lets you get louder without getting distorted and the weight of it is balanced so when you're marching its easier for you. I would highly recommend this horn for a marching band.

I have had this horn for about two years(my sophomore year in HS) and I found that it is a very good horn for beginners. It is easy blowing and has a very good tone. I recently spent a weekend at a drum corps camp and realized that this horn has limits. It is generally flat and I found myself adjusting my embouchure to extremes all camp. The horn is also very easy to overblow. It can not keep up with a full hornline without loosing good tone. In all, this horn was decent when I was still a beginner, but now I need something more like, say...a Yamaha

This is the greatest horn I have ever played! I am currently first chair for the baritone section in the North Port High Drum and Bugle corps all thanks to this horn. Overall this horn produces a dark "chocolaty" sound that can overplay anyone you want. If you are looking to do a solo in the upper register I recommend this horn. Combined with a Blessing 12c mouthpiece it is PERFECT!

This horn has a prominent voice. I sit in with a 10 piece Jazz Ensemble and I find that the horn is a "power house." The only down side to the horn(so far) is its weight. ALMOST 6 LBS. I have had the horn about a week and I am VERY HAPPY with it's projection. I played the Dynasty M565 through H.S. an I am seeing a HUGE difference. I wish I had this horn in H.S. I can tell I will be happy with the M570 for many years to come.

I had the pleasure of playing this horn over the summer with a drum and bugle corps. It plays well in the upper register, has a good tone in the middle register, and it's projection is matched only by it's player. It had a tendency though to be easily "maxed out" and requires the player to know and accept the horn's limits. A good instrument for a new player or experienced player looking for durability. Yet it's a very flat horn, we had to tune the entire hornline down to match the bari line. Ouch! This problem is addressed in the more expensive Yamaha model. All in all I had a good time with that horn, and recommend it to any band or drum corps.

This is a well balanced horn, very low fatigue factor when playing. It has a very deep, rich, sound, and extremely good valve action that is very quiet. I would highly recommend this horn, especially for those interested in playing with a drum corps. It's an excellent instrument both on and off the field.
