Stand is great - The carrying case is bad

By Bill Huelster

from Georgia

Comments about DEG A18-MC100 Handy Tuba Rest:

We love the stand. Don't get the carrying case. We used the case one day and the handle broke off. Music123 sent us another carrying case and that case also lasted one day. So we went through two case in about 10 minuets of use. Don't waste your money on the carrying case it will not last.

Great Product for Young AND Old!

By Eric Hendricks

from Memphis

Comments about DEG A18-MC100 Handy Tuba Rest:

Lets face it - as I have gotten older my lap has gotten "a little smaller" . I found that I was straining to keep the tuba positioned properly and I was often slouching or leaning forward to play. With this tuba stand I am able to sit upright (regardless of the leadpipe placement on the horn) which has greatly improved the consistency and quality of my sound. This particular stand takes up very little unused floor space, is very strong, and very stable. The next time you play think about how much energy you are using to hold the horn at the proper level and position - your sound may be suffering too...

Deg stands great for young players.

By Kevin Culling

from Okemos, Michigan

Comments about DEG A18-MC100 Handy Tuba Rest:

I teach band grades 6-12 and have been using the DEG tuba stand with my younger players for years. I would not have any of my 6th or 7th graders play without the stand and they have all come to love using them. It is the best way for a smaller player to get the best playing position and posture needed for proper breath support.

Great piece of equipment!

Comments about DEG A18-MC100 Handy Tuba Rest:

I've been using this stand since I was in the 7th grade, because at the time I was too small for my horn. Now that I'm a senior in high school, I still use it whenever I play. Helps with posture and enforces good breathing habits.

Excellent Accessory!!

By musicman

from Pennsylvania

Comments about DEG A18-MC100 Handy Tuba Rest:

An excellent product - quality and use. After having some health problems, this stand has become a necessity for an older player. Flexible positioning offers excellent assurance of both correct embouchure and comfort. Small "footprint" makes it easy to position even in tight spaces. If you play a 4/4 or 5/4 horn it's unthinkable to be without this stand!
