Comments about B&S JBX-GL Challenger II Bb Trumpet:
I have a huge collection of vintage horns which I use for jazz and big band performance. I always love my Martin Committee 1939 for the jazz scene. It's a bit slippery in the slots . The JBX from B and S has the most amazing honey dripping tone I've ever heard. I can't believe I'm actually producing such a Botti-esque sound so easily. The slotting is fantastic ..but with flexibility to slur and growl like a vintage bugle. Use a 3C or 3TF mouthpiece on this baby and you will blow everyone away. You won't be disappointed with this tone monster
