The Bach Strad Gold Trim Kit features gold plated finger buttons, valve stems, top and bottom valve caps, water key, stop rod, and stop rod nuts. The finger buttons seem to have been made of lighter material than the original buttons. Also, the 'pearl' tops are cheap plastic. This isn't what I expected from a product that carries the Bach name on it.

on the trumpet, they look nice and impressive, which is the main thing. However, when looked at closely you can see that the quality of the finish was pretty poor. The bottom and top valve caps were not perfection as expected, but had lots of little dents or imperfections as if just thrown into a large box of others and battered around. The water valve is particularly poor quality in both finish and fit, having to be ground down on both sides to fit a brand new Strad. The heavy bottom caps cannot be screwed fully home, and leave a 2mm gap to the bottom of the valve case as if there should be a gold or rubber ring inserted. Considering the cost and the reputation of the Strad, Vincent Bach cannot affort to be proud of these accessories, (unlike the agate buttons) Maybe we just got a bad set.
