These particular Bach Mega Tone mouthpieces are gold-plated versions of the Bach Mega Tone Series. Gold plating provides a very comfortable and flexible feel, cannot tarnish or corrode and warms up faster than a silver plate.

Insist on a Genuine Bach Mouthpiece
Bach mouthpieces are designed to meet every conceivable playing need and have for nearly three quarters of a century. A Bach mouthpiece will make a poor instrument play well, a good instrument play better. Volume and excellent intonation, ease of response in the high and low register, rich, uniform timbre throughout the range, and resistance calculated to increase the player's endurance-these characteristics explain why professional artists choose Bach.

Comments about Bach Megatone Trumpet Mouthpieces in Gold:

The Bach Megatone has a great sound. It's rich, warm and overall really enjoyable to listen to. I find that the 1.5c cup is something that has to really be practiced to truly get the best quality of sound out of it.

    BIG sound...

Comments about Bach Megatone Trumpet Mouthpieces in Gold:

This mouthpiece throws out a big warm sound. I use a 3C and feel good on it. I'm planning to get one in gold though, my silver one is worn out....

    Very good mouthpiece

    By Callan Gamache

Comments about Bach Megatone Trumpet Mouthpieces in Gold:

This is one of the best mouthpieces you could ever buy aside from the monette prana mouthpieces of course. The gold is very nice and can help you with your tone I do like the extra weight it makes an even more centered and focosed tone than I already had I strngly advise buying this mouthpiece buy the 1C if you want a rich tone but I will warn you the 1C is very hard to master becouse its cup is so large f you are looking for a high register mouthpiece you are going to want the 1E it has a very shallow cup and will help you reach those tough high notes that some of you are probably struggling withalso the gold is very flexable so it will also help you a tiny bit but the gold will not help you much it may make a sweet sound but both it and the silver plating on all mouthpieces are less than paper thick so choose your mouthpieces carefully

    Really Helps

    By Jake -sTi2y

    from Collegeville, PA

Comments about Bach Megatone Trumpet Mouthpieces in Gold:

I guess it really depends on your Embouchure and playing style, but personally this does really help. For my general range (everything up to the E in the final space) does not sound different. However, my tone is a lot more full for the rest. If you have a remarkable tone with out a megatone, do not switch because it will make little to no difference, but if your looking for a little extra help this is the solution. i really would recommend this mouthpiece.
