Hal Leonard - the best!

Comments about Hal Leonard Electric Bass Method - Second Edition (Book/CD):

Some may disagree but I think Hal Leonard is the best when it comes to learning a new instrument! I purchased this book along with a new acoustic-electric bass guitar so I could learn to play with my sons (guitar, keyboard, and drums). After just a few weeks of working through this book I was able to play some simple bass lines. I am almost through book 1 now and playing with my sons on a regular basis at church. I like how this book teaches all the components (fret board layout, notes, rhythm, musical notation, etc.) all at the same time and building one thing on another. The other great thing about this book is that all three books (levels) are spiral bound together and it sits on my music stand without being held open. It also comes with 3 play along CD's that really help you learn rhythms and different styles.
