I got this bass for my 13th birthday, and I have been using it ever since. I am now 15 and I am looking for a new bass. My squire is a good bass for beginners, but not for those who are getting really serious with bass. The bass is all-around, but at a mid-level. I recommend it for beginners.

Great for begininners, and is easy to get comfortable with

By Nick-wPZ5z

Comments about Squier Affinity Series P Bass:

This was my first bass, and was a great one to learn on. It almost ruined other basses for me because they all felt so wierd after a few years of this one bass. The strings also last quite a while. The action on the bass is just perfect, I think, I almost never got any buzz. This is a great bass to start with and even use as your main bass because it's just so comfortable. I reccomend this bass to any and everyone who plays or wants to play.

Great bass for beginners, upgrades needed though.

By Michael Armellino

from Montreal, Quebec

Comments about Squier Affinity Series P Bass:

Well This was my first bass, at first I thought it was the best bass in the world, but after a while of listening endlessly to music, I noticed that the tone was muddy and my string were rather hard. So I changed the pickups to active EMGs (p-bass model) and so far never looked back. I also suggest getting another bridge, since mine bent (axle). Well after all these upgrades, this bass is the equivalent to a fender p-bass, probably even better. So my advice would be to get this bass and upgrade it to the sound you desire, because other then the sound the pickups produce the guitar is grade 'A' quality,

A good place to start

By Colin-iaOns

Comments about Squier Affinity Series P Bass:

This is my first bass, and although it's pretty decent, I'm already in the market for something better. I was disappointed with the limited control of the single pickup, and I seem to get a lot of buzz while playing. If you're just starting out, go ahead and buy it. If you're a bit more serious, look elsewhere.

awesome

Comments about Squier Affinity Series P Bass:

I love the bass! it played great straight out of the box. My friends got them too. Well its great for money and you get great feel with the headboard because the frets are super low! This beast plays great punk in very low tuning too!

Great Standard for Beginers

By WolfMan

from Istael, Natania

Comments about Squier Affinity Series P Bass:

Great Bass for beginers, cuz it is cheap, it has the standard sound, and it is great for it's cost. Yes, it doesn't have the cool sound of the pro-basses, but with a good amp, and maybe effects, you can get a very good sound. Good for any kund of music also. Very comfortable, low frets, pretty small neck, great tuners. I love it.

Nice

By Cody Pierce

from Pine Bluff, Arkansas

Comments about Squier Affinity Series P Bass:

I own this bass. I am a music major in college and I know a whole lot about music and musical instruments. I am in a Christian praise band at my church, and we play a very wide variety of musical styles. My band just got through playing at another church where we used their equipment. I used a VERY nice bass, but even though that bass was very nice, it still did not give me the reliable punch and sustain of this bass. I've played many nice instruments in my life (in fact I own a $3,200 trombone) but even the nice instruments have not giving me this feel and response. I very highly recommend this bass to anyone.

I own this bass. For the money, I think it's great for a beginner or someone looking for a very cheap, well built bass at a very affordable price.
